On April 5th, the core members and assistants went on a three day Lent Retreat to the Immaculate Heart Retreat Center. We were blessed with fantastic weather and enjoyed the beautiful retreat grounds, nature walks and Easter egg hunts. We ate fantastic food, made arts and crafts and sang songs. Together we celebrated communion and washed one another’s feet. We played chair volleyball and limbo and reenacted the Easter story. The day of departure, we decorated the cross with flowers, as a reminder of Jesus’ resurrection.
Some of the highlights for the core members and assistants were the delicious breakfast burritos and lasagna. Everyone loved bringing both Trinity and Harvest House together to celebrate Easter. All the activities were so unique and it was fun to see the creativity and gifts of each session leader. It was a time of togetherness, reflection and friendship. We wish everyone a blessed and joyful Easter as we celebrate new life and the resurrection of Jesus!
